Drum Teacher
Introducing our PERCUSSION tutor Mark.
Hi I'm Mark and I have been teaching DRUMS, BODHRAN and CAJON since 2004 and I am so excited to be passing on all my knowledge here at Sound in Motion.
I have studied at the John Murray Drum school in Dublin and have attended many percussion clinics throughout Ireland over the years. I am an accomplished teacher and have taught in several local secondary schools throughout Monaghan and Cavan with CMETB.
Building a strong rapport with my students is important to me and I help each student to reach their full potential by encouraging and supporting them in their musical journey. I have had many parents and work colleagues acknowledge how patient and dedicated I am about passing on my passion for music. I have also recently completed QQI level 5 and QQI level 6 in special needs assisting, allowing me to support all my student even more.
Along with all my teaching experience I am a very accomplished musician. I have played worldwide traveling and performing in many tours throughout England, USA, Middle East and Spain. I have also recorded and performed on many Albums and T.V shows (including the late late show, RTE and BBC). I love teaching and I am so excited to be apart of the Sound in Motion team.
