Nicola Chatten

Hi I’m Nicola Chatten. I’m a vocal coach trained in musical theatre and contemporary music. I’ve always had a passion for music and began singing at a young age. In 2020 I achieved a 2.1 in Applied Music in Dundalk Institute of Technology while majoring in Solo performance in contemporary and musical theatre. While studying, I completed vocal grades with The Royal Irish Academy of Music, in musical theatre and pop achieving a distinction in grade 8. Throughout my studies I was involved in the musical theatre society and took part in annual shows. I was also part of the DKIT choir and have a huge love of teaching. I’ve performed music from many different genres such as classical, pop, traditional and county etc so I’ve a developed a well-rounded knowledge of different types of music. I look forward to assisting my students learning and vocal development in any music genre and to help them reach their full potential. I am very excited to be apart of the Sound in Motion team and can not wait to meet you all. I am teaching Thursday and Friday evenings. In person and online options available. I am also running a fantastic MUSIC THEATRE class on Fridays @4.30 for ages 4-9.
