Michelle is the most recent member of the Sound in Motion team. Having developed a keen interest in music from a young age, she took lessons in piano and accordion. Michelle received a Gold Medal in piano from the Royal Irish Academy of Music in 2011. She also joined the St. Enda’s Accordion Band and won an All-Ireland medal in 2004. Michelle took part in solo accordion and piano competitions and also played in a number of ensembles. Michelle was a member of the Largy College choir, the Scotshouse choir and the St. Patrick’s choir, Dublin.

Michelle studied Music in St Patrick’s College, Dublin and received an honours degree in 2014. There, she took modules in Music Technology, Topics in Musicology and also composed a number of pieces for the college Artists in Residence. Michelle is a primary school teacher and worked in Scotland for three years before moving back to Ireland last year. In Scotland, she lead the school singing club which participated in a number of performances for Scottish Television.

Michelle has a great passion for teaching and loves being able to pass her gift onto others. The benefits of music education is endless and Michelle brings all of these benefits out in her students in a creative and positive way.
